Another holiday has snuck up on Sally.  And tis the season to watch all your favorite holiday movies.   Here are a few of my favorites just in time for this season!  And yes, I have watched all of these already!

Tis better to give…
December 21, 2008

I’ve decided to add a new frequent posting, inspired by my coworker (we’ll call her Kentucky) and a recent post by Legally.  Because sometimes it is better to give than to receive certain gifts.

Kentucky’s new boyfriend’s parents sent her some xmas gifts.  How sweet.  The bf’s step-mother is very “crafty” and she made Kentucky some snowman socks.  Complete with a carrot nose that sticks out from the sock, buttons, sticky bumps on the sole, and teeny-tiny socks knitted on the front.  When she tried to describe them to me, it didn’t begin to approach the awesomeness of this gift.  Unfortunately these socks do not fit her.  But the best part…Kentucky is a tall (6 ft) girl and the bf’s step-mother has met her and has no doubt grasped the altitude on Kentucky and one would only assume that she would not have tiny baby feet like me.  Poor Kentucky, the socks barely fit her hand…and do NOT fit even my foot!  No worries!  We have adopted Socky the Snowmen as our new office mascots!

It’s snowing!
December 8, 2008

It’s the holiday season and nearly winter, so Sally decided to make it snow. Global warming may prevent snow at home, but here in Sally’s world, it’s a winter wonderland! Enjoy!

Cave man art?

I think there is a gang in my neighborhood.  Yes, a gang.  I’m serious!  I’ve seen the graffiti around my neighborhood.  But I don’t think it’s anything to be alarmed about or afraid of.  Because I think my neighborhood is being taken over by a gang of…

Dinosaurs???

I have already questioned this graffiti in an earlier post.  But here it is again, note the triceratops just below the state flag.

But now I’ve noticed this phenomenon all around my neighborhood and I’m keen on finding more.  If anyone comes across a triceratops in west Nashville, please let me know!

I noticed this sign when I was leaving my local sushi spot, taking the alley as a shortcut.

No parking in the alley – it is reserved by a triceratops!  Notice the detail work on the close up?

And I found this one when I was walking and biking to and from my new job.  See, it is a territorial gang.  Who needs neighborhood watch?

At least I know I’m protected…prehistoric style!

Super early morning
December 5, 2008

Good morning!  I woke up around 2:30-ish-something-a.m. with a splitting headache.  After taking some magic headache-reliever pills and drinking two big glasses of fluid I went back to bed.  Guess what?  4 a.m. and I’m still wide awake.  Sally’s not super pleased about this.  Or rather, Sally will not be a pleasant person to be around in another 12 hours!  So, in the midst of checking emails I figured I’d check in on the blog.  Here’s hoping the rest of the day goes smoothly, as well as this weekend.
